Development Report - 2015 

I would like to thank the board for their support, and for providing the facilities , and info, and equipment for a successful season. also a thank you to the coaches, players and parents for their participation.

Starting in November, we kicked off the season with the Development weekend. We had Bill Short from Hockey Nova Scotia, as a guest instructor. Bill concentrated on the atom and peewee sessions. Bill did 2 on ice sessions and then a 2 hr off ice presentation. our association invited coachs from other areas to attend, and the response was terrific, hope we can duplicate the event.

This season we did the development by divisions. as opposed to doing it by  forward or defence, that way kids were paired with their team , and made for easier scheduling. most sessions were on the weekends, and the attendance was great. Goal tending sessions had the same result.

The board made a decision to hire a power skating instructor, skating is the basis of ice hockey , we had good tur outs for the Sunday sessions.

Later on in the season Bill Short to check on our progress, this time he concentrated on the novice division, made a few suggestions, but for the most part things were progressing well.

At seasons end our teams were very competitive, and all had a great showing in playoffs.
