2015-2016

The atom c team had a successful year in terms of player development and winning. They were once again participants in the McDonald's Atomc program.

They had a tough time winning games in the first half of the year but really came together in the second half which culminated with them winning their division in the playoffs.

They entered two tournaments this year.  They hosted the 10 team RBC Atomania tournament in February which saw them win their division and make crossovers.

In March they entered the Corporal Paul Davis tournament in Lower Sackville and again made it to the crossovers.

The kids had several parties for Christmas, a pre-tournament party and laser tag.  They also had kids versus parents game and everyone had a blast.

Our atom a team also had a very successful season winning a majority of their games. They captured a silver medal in the Northside Invitational Atom A tournament and participated in the Allan Sullivan and Joe LaMontagne tournaments. Our atom a team also swept the round robin portion of the 2015 - 16 playoffs before losing to Glace Bay in the championship game.

The year was highlighted by winning the Home Depot practice with the Screaming Eagles, and a fun game with the Eagles as Chris Lawless won the backyard rink contest.

On behalf of NSDMHA, I would like to thank the coaches, managers, trainers and parents who contributed to making this an exceptional year of atom hockey for our young hockey players.
