NSDMHA 2016-2017

The 2016-2017 season in Midget for NSDMHA was a challenging one. We iced one AA and one A team. Both Rep teams were up against some strong competition. While both teams competed hard each and every game, we did not have a lot of success.

 I would like to personally thank Timmy Vickers, Richard Hannem and coaching staff of the AA and A teams. These individuals consistently volunteer their time year over year to ensure the player’s become better hockey players and better individuals.

 Hockey Nova Scotia made a decision to form a Midget X League so the High School players affected by the Work to Rule could finish off their season. I would like to thank our President, John Hardy, fellow Board Members, and Carla who worked very hard to ensure the Midget X team could get back on the ice and play hockey. I would like to thank Peter Keagan and coaching staff for their commitment and dedication to these players. Our Midget X team finished third in the province in the SEDMHA Provincial Tournament. Congratulations to players and coaching staff on this outstanding accomplishment.
