Certification Report - 2018-2019

2019/3/27 13:08

The 2020-2021 season has come to an end and it has been a challenging season on so many levels for all of our hockey players, parents, volunteers, coaches and staff. The behind-the-scenes level of effort to have forged through this past year is a remarkable achievement.

The volunteering efforts of our dedicated coaches and volunteers is commendable, is acknowledged, and is very much appreciated. Coaching and volunteering requires specific training and certification. This all requires additional time and effort but is necessary to ensure a safe, productive, and fun hockey experience for our hockey players.

In my role as Certification Coordinator for the 2020-2021 season, there were challenges associated with new training and certification introduced, on-line training, and limited enrolment for courses offered. Even with all of the challenges of 2020-2021, volunteers, new coaches, and experienced coaches accepted these challenges and obtained the required certifications when required.

In closing, if you are planning on volunteering, coaching for the first time, or continuing as a coach or volunteer in the upcoming 2021-2022 season and have any questions, please feel free to contact the Northside & District Minor Hockey Association office.

Respectfully,

Claude Goora
