Former Northside Hockey Player pays it forward

Northside & District Minor Hockey has received a donation of $500 from  Michael Vickers a former North Sydney Minor Hockey player in tribute to a former coach who helped him along the way!

Michael attributes  a former coach and past President Gordon MacLeod, for making it possible for him to play hockey at a time where it would have added an extra financial burden on his family for him to do so.

Michael recalls the impact that this made in his life and wanted to pay it forward ( in memory of Mr. MacLeod)  to someone in the community who might need a helping hand.   Many thanks to Michael for remembering his home town and the tremendous need for the youth in this community to be part of  Organized Sports.
