2025 Clinic Information

2025/2026 HNS Official’s Registration (NEW)

NEW OFFICIALS

  • All new Level 1 or Level 2 officials will firstly need to complete the online Introduction to Officiating course through Hockey Canada.
  • Officials between 12-14 must register as a Level 1 and officials who will turn 15 by December 31, 2025 will be able to register as a Level 1 or Level 2.
  • After completing the online HC course, they must register for an in-person Level 1 or Level 2 clinic, the schedule is attached.

 

RETURNING OFFICIALS (NEW PROCESS)

  • LEVEL 1 RETURNING – Need to complete :

Hockey Canada Officiating Program - Level 1 Re-Certification

Once that is completed, you need to register for a virtual Level 1 clinic (1 hour). Schedule is attached.

 

  • LEVEL 2 RETURNING – Need to complete :

Hockey Canada Officiating Program - Level 2 Re-Certification

Once that is completed, you need to register for a virtual Level 2 clinic (1 hour). Schedule is attached.

*** Please note, if you are a Level 1 and plan to register as a Level 2 this season (you will have needed to complete 2 seasons as a Level 1 or be 15 years old by December 31st), then please complete the Level 2 Re-Certification course and register for a Level 2 virtual clinic ***

 

  • LEVEL 3 RETURNING – Need to complete :

Hockey Canada Officiating Program - Level 3 Re-Certification

Once that is completed, you need to register for a virtual Level 3 clinic (1 hour). Schedule is attached.

*** Please note, if you are a Level 2 and plan to register as a Level 3 this season then please complete the Level 3 Re-Certification course and register for a Level 3 virtual clinic ***

 

  • Member High Performance – Need to complete :

Hockey Canada Officiating Program – Member High Performance Re-Certification

Once that is completed, you need to register for a virtual MHP clinic (1 hour). Schedule is attached.

 

  • National High Performance – Need to complete :

Hockey Canada Officiating Program – National High Performance Re-Certification

Once that is completed, you need to register for a virtual NHP clinic (1 hour). Schedule is attached.

Minor Officials
Minor officials include timekeeper, scorekeepers

  • You must be approved by NSDMH and complete the timekeeper course.

 

Cole's Notes to set up your Spordle Account:

  1. Register for your Spordle account here
  2. Once into Spordle, click on the mug shot  in the top, right corner (don't do anything else on that page) > My Account
  3. On the left select Member,  then add member by clicking: and enter criteria for yourself and add as self
  4. You will then have 2 members, the account holder and the linked member, select the newly linked member and on the bottom you will see:


Criminal Record Check (CRC)

All officials 17 years old, turning 18 by the end of calendar year, and older, must have a valid Criminal Record Check or CRC. Log into your Spordle account to check the expiry date of your CRC with Hockey Canada if you are a returning volunteer and have an eHockey account.
